August was all about the change-ups.
A total of 20 different companies, from technology unicorns to ambitious startups, brought on new additions to their C-suites. That includes three CEOs: Cloud lake data platform ChaosSearch hired Ed Walsh, video content analytics firm BriefCam hired Gil Briman and Demand Science Group, the parent company of PureB2B, appointed Peter Cannone.
EY also unveiled the list of finalists for its 2020 Entrepreneur of the Year New England, featuring entrepreneurs from 32 different companies.

Wellesley-based wind energy company Halo Energy hired Dave Forbes as COO.
Waltham-based fintech BlueSnap appointed Jason Green to lead the company’s global sales organization.
Former Yotpo CFO Jamie Kiggen joined health tech company Kyruus as CFO.
Boston-based Alexion Pharmaceuticals appointed Uzair Qadeer as the company’s first chief diversity officer.
Gamida Cell appointed Matthew Metivier to the role of vice president, human resources and Michele Korfin to the dual role of chief operating and chief commercial officer.
Boston-based cloud lake data platform ChaosSearch has a new CEO in Ed Walsh. Walsh most recently served as GM of IBM’s storage division.
Boston private equity firm Great Hill Partners promoted Joe Germanese to principal.
Boston-based building operations software startup Building Engines appointed Deirdre O’Driscoll as chief financial officer and Colleen Honan as chief sales officer.
Openly, a homeowners insurance platform, appointed Grant Owens chief product and underwriting officer.
Corvus Insurance, an AI-powered insurtech startup, hired Sam Kramer as VP of reinsurance.
