Exibition | odyssey!

We open our doors with a new exhibition: odyssey!

Justin Dingwall and Roman Handt are here collaborating on the “rerouted” series, to have us meditate on the alternative pathways we sometimes have to travel in life. For the first time, they complemented the photo series with one-off pieces, canvas and silk screen prints.

Each work is uniquely created by transferring a photo on textile and then reworking it individually: cutting, ripping, reassembling, sewing, adorning, etc. Justin Dingwall is a celebrated Johannesburg-based artist, multi award-winning who had numerous international exhibitions. Among other prestigious venues, he exhibited at Guggenheim museum Bilbao, Mariane Ibrahim gallery Chicago and FOAM photography museum Amsterdam.

In Belgium, he exhibited at Bozar and is represented in various prominent collections.

He creates images that resonate with emotion and challenge traditional notions of beauty. His works lean towards the unusual, and less traveled paths with cultural undertones.

my intention is that my photography becomes a celebration of beauty in difference.

Roman Handt, is an award-winning South African fashion designer, with pieces that challenge the menswear fashion world. among others, he has been exhibited at Zeitz MOCAA museum.

Roman Handt aims to break down male boundaries. As he states, his creations are “for the fearless, the bold, the inquisitive individual.”

We are preparing our vernissage for January 27th where the artists will be in attendance from South Africa. An opportunity for you to meet them and have your catalog signed … and also to taste our selection of South African wines.

This same weekend, we are participating in the Photo Brussels Festival, which is an event that gives Brussels its place on the international photo scene.
