Recognizes Winning Commercial Real Estate Property Management and Maintenance
WALTHAM, MASSACHUSETTS
Building Engines, leaders in commercial real estate (CRE) property management innovation, today announced the winners of the 2018 Property Hero Awards. This program is the first of its kind to recognize commercial property management professionals who demonstrate best practices, and is now in its third year.
An industry-wide call for nominations generated over 150 nominees from across the country, representing a wide range of CRE organizations. A panel of CRE executives selected 24 finalists, after which over 2,000 votes were cast from the greater community of CRE professionals and tenants. These votes decided the runner-up and winner across two categories, Maintenance Hero and Management Hero.
And the winners are…
The 2018 Management Hero grand-prize winner is Kim Callicoat, Property Manager at Highwoods Properties. Nominees described Callicoat as a “dedicated property management professional” who is “eager to accept new challenges and responsibilities” and “goes well above and beyond to get the job done.”
When asked what she loves most about her role, Callicoat said, “What I love most about property management is the opportunity to help a customer when a problem or issue arises. My favorite response, is ‘yes, we can do that.’ If I’m not able to say yes, our team works together to find a solution that is agreeable to all parties. No two days are alike in Property Management, which brings new challenges and the opportunity to exceed our customer’s expectations.”
