Industry experts and practitioners to help company realize its vision for modernizing the Commercial Real Estate industry
Building Engines, the building experience platform for modern commercial real estate operations, has formalized and expanded its Customer Advisory Board (CAB) of industry experts to guide its continued platform innovation. The CAB will help inform and drive Building Engines’ product and M&A roadmap, with the goal of developing the world’s leading building experience platform for modern CRE operations.
The CAB is made up of leaders in the commercial real estate industry and pioneers in digital adoption at their respective companies. They are:
- Beacon Capital Partners, Sara Shank, Head of Portfolio Management
- Brixmor Property Group, Helane Stein, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
- Highwood Properties, Art McCann, Vice President and Chief Information Officer
- Hines, Jesse Carrillo, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
- Physicians Realty Trust, Mark Theine, Executive Vice President Asset Management
- The Ashforth Company, Andrew Ashforth, Co-Chief Executive Officer and a Principal
- The RMR Group, Greg Carey, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
“Being a part of Building Engines’ CAB is a unique opportunity for us to help elevate an already powerful and valuable operations platform, bringing it to the next level to best serve the industry,” said McCann, vice president and chief information officer at Highwoods Properties. “It’s exciting to be a part of this group as the rate of adoption of industry-leading technology is rapidly accelerating in commercial real estate. It also allows us to connect with and learn from others that are focused on this unprecedented phase in the industry.”
The creation of the CAB is the latest in a series of investments the company has made to ensure it remains at the cutting edge of the building experience sector of the CRE tech market. Most notably, it has completed three acquisitions in the past two years, augmenting the critical building operations capabilities of its open, enterprise-class platform and ensuring a fast time to value for CRE owners and operators.
“We are committed to developing the leading building experience platform for CRE operations, but we know we can’t do that alone,” said Tim Curran, CEO of Building Engines. “We need the insight and expertise of people who are on the front lines of communicating with tenants, fielding work orders, managing risk and all other elements that go into delivering an outstanding customer experience and profitable operation. The CAB members’ practical experience is key to guide us through this next evolution of business and provide our customers with the best platform to optimize their operations at the highest level.”
